Kadair's was established by Sam and Ruby Kadair in 1946 in a garage in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1949, the retail location was opened and offered black and white film processing and printing as well as camera and photographic supplies. In 1958,
televisions and home electronics were added to the retail mix.
